Born in Lugano (Ticino), 1958, married and with 4 children. Degree in economics and diploma in lic. oec. from the University of Lausanne (HEC).
Diploma as a Swiss certified accountant, Zürich. After University, worked successively for Bank Leu, Zürich and BLG Swisstrans in New York. After returning to Ticino, continued his work in consultancy and audit while working for ATAG Ernst & Young, Lugano. In 1994 this international company appointed him as a partner responsible for Ticino.
In 1995, thanks to his experience gained in the banking sector, he was appointed to the board of the Swiss Banking Group of ATAG Ernst & Young. In 1998 he became a director of the Collegial Board of Banca Commerciale Lugano, where he was responsible for managing the financial department.
At the beginning of 2003, he joined as a partner in Dr. Wieting Giorgio Consulting SA, therefore the company name has formally changed to Wieting Gandolfi & Partners Consulting SA.
